RE: Bea Arthur Sings for nbc's 60th Anniversary

"We are a family, like a giant tree..."

I didn't know Bea Arthur, Nell Carter and Charlotte Rae all lived in the same house!

Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - "For Kate I Wait" - High Res

love it love it love it. Very David Bowie. Messy and melancholy and melodic. Trashy. Brilliant.

Ariel Pink "Politely Declined"

This is one of the most bizarrely unpretentious pop songs I've ever heard. Now I've got to get into this "Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti" world!

Black Ivory - Mainline 1979.

This is probably my absolute favorite old school disco track. I just can't get enough of it. There's no way you can recreate or mimic this sound or type of production now. It progresses through different sections and never gets stale. It's got the shuffling Salsoul percussion groove. And it's all over at 4:03 when the bass drops out "Nothing is the same every since you came my baby". It's all over.
